Saturday, August 09 at 8:30pm - Ep 575 - Cover Up

Robert Harvey (Rob Spendlove) is left in charge of his twelve-year-old son Liam (Joseph Ashworth) when the boy's mother is sent to prison for stabbing her abusive husband. Having worked on the case, PC Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) promised the mother he would look out for Liam, and gave him his number in case he ever needed help.

When Liam is found badly injured, they suspect the father is responsible, and PC Gayle lets his anger get the better of him. However, his sergeant, Callum Stone (Sam Callis) comes to his rescue.

But then the team discovers that Robert has stolen cash and drugs from a drug dealer to pay off a loan shark, and they realise that Liam might have been caught in the middle. Has PC Gayle assaulted the wrong man?

Saturday, August 09 at 9:15pm - Ep 576 - The Hit

Young man Adam Villiers (Zac Young), who's been living in a shelter, is found shot, and police are puzzled when they turn up a birth certificate and driver's licence with different names.

His parents say he went missing three months previously, just before they were about tell him he was adopted, unaware that Adam had already contacted his birth mother Mary (Sanchia McCormack) and was about to meet up with her.

Investigations reveal that Adam had delivered a briefcase for another man living at the shelter just before he was shot, but can't find a motive for the crime. However, when details emerge about the owner of the briefcase, the race is on to prevent another shooting...
