Qtr Circle A

What is your name? Real and gaming
B: Benjamin Baker a.k.a Benjamonster
R: Rob Moffett a.k.a Robot
Where and when were you born?
B: Sydney, 21/11/1984.
R: 1886, then I time travelled when I was 12 ahead 100 years to Sydney. Or just 1986...1886 was a typo.
Where did you grow up?
R: Sydney / Melbourne. I moved back and forth about 4 times.
B: With wolves in the suburbs of Sydney.
What are your roles in Quarter Circle + A?
B: I do the art, scripts, voices and talk to the business types.
R: I do voices, Sound production and animation.
B: you also put up with me
R: Yeah, Put that in.
B: K.
What is your earliest memory of games/playing games?
R: My dad gave me his original Atari. I'll never forget what he said to me that day. He said "Here..."
B: Oh whoa, I had an Atari 7800 at a very early age, so my earliest memory is playing Ikari warriors and super Mario bros... I didn’t know you had an Atari, I’m learning junk about you all the time.
Have you always had a passion for gaming?
B: I honestly can't remember a time where I haven't played them.
R: Can my answer just be “No”?
B: hahaha, no.
R: I’ll think of something better... As a kid all I did was gaming. Then as I got older my passion moved to art and animation. But now with QCA, it’s like my past passion and my current passion are combining.
What is your favourite game?
B: Without question, the Metal Slug series. It’s like injecting awesome into your face.
R: My favourite game was an old one called The Neverhood. The entire game was clay animation. Loved it!
B: yeah I used to play it all the time
R: the cut scenes made it the best, GIANT ROBOT FIGHTS!
B: they don’t make games like that anymore. ...with clay
If you could design any kind of game, what would you design?
R: I'd employ Paul Robertson, and we'd make the most insane kick ass super psycho kick-the-crap-outta-everything-that-moves kind of game. But have it set in an old people home.
B: It'd be a mid 90's style side scrolling beat ‘em up called "STANLEY GIZZARDPUNCH" and he's have a part shark-part dog-part cyborg side kick and drive a modified, turbo charged wheat thresher through enemies. The soundtrack would be solid midi guitar shredding.
What do you love to do outside of gaming?
R: Mostly design and animation. When we're not making QCA, we're working on our other cartoon "Friendcore". Apart from that, I love motocross and watching cartoons.
B: yeah, basically it’s just art art art. I like to play in my band and fall over in my spare time.
What is the best job you have ever had?
B: probably this
R: I had a dream one night that I was Zach Braff's stunt double.
What is the worst job you have ever had?
B: I had a dream one night that I was Zach Braff's stunt double.
R: probably this... I’m kidding; I once worked at Video Ezy.
What is your favourite film?
R: Back to the Future 2 or Back to the Future 2.
B: Probably Battle Royale, Lord of flies ain’t got nothing on this.
What is your favourite book?
R: um, Prima's Official Strategy Guide?
B: Bear v. Shark: The Novel by Chris Bachelder
Do you have a beard?
B: negative
R: I’m working on it
Poll
Do you think video games allow you to test your moral code?
