About the Science Event Diary...
Can anyone enter an event? How?
What if I want to amend details later? Who Moderates?
What about listing International Events?
ABC Science mailing listsIf your event is science-related, whether professional or amateur, you are invited to list it. The Black Stump amateur astronomy club's "Open Night" is just as welcome as a professional conference about "Reservoir Engineering". The only must is that you include a contact point, such as an email address or a phone number. This is partly so people can contact someone for further details, and partly so we have a way of contacting you should there be some problem with the listing.
Entering a new event is as simple as filling in the form in the diary. But before you do, check the existing entries to make sure someone else hasn't already entered the same event.
What if I want to amend some details later?
The easiest way is for you to enter the amended event again. The old details will stay there until we spot the double entry and delete it. You can help us with this if, after you enter the changes, you also send us an email at thelab@your.abc.net.au to alert us.
ABC Science Online is the publisher and final arbiter over what is in the diary. At at the moment the diary is not moderated. (Listings should appear within seconds of them being posted). We hope to keep it that way. You can help us by keeping to the guidelines above.
What about listing International events?
While the focus of this diary is primarily on Australian science events, we will accept listings for selected international science conferences, provided they have true "international" relevance.
