Working for co-operation between Arabs, Jews and Christian in Israel is the Director of the Education Department for the Abu Gosh local council, Issa Jaber. In the town of Abu Ghosh, outside of Jerusalem, close to pilgrimage sites for all three faiths, Issa Jaber explains the history of his people there and the reasons he chooses to pursue a peaceful path of co-operation with Jews and Christians.

Christians are a small minority in Israel but they visit the country in large numbers and they've also been influential in deciding its fate. One Christian who came 30 years ago and stayed is the Rev'd Dr. Petra Heldt, who co-founded The Ecumenical Theological Research Fraternity in Jerusalem and, although seriously injured in a suicide bomb attack in 1989, she wouldn't live anywhere else.
