Sound Quality

This week goes as far as you can in the world of genre hopping. Starting with the oud work of a master player teaming up with a jazz pianist, a clarinettist and percussion. Then on to nu folk/electronica/story telling from Melbourne, new age classical Indian meets sax from Mullumbimby, smooth electro/soft pop recorded in Thailand, and Patti Smith teaming up with Kevin Shields [My Bloody Valentine] for a live recording of spoken word and guitars and effects. That's only part one.

Part two has a solid steel radio show set by J Mountain as well as a Chinese/Australian performance artist, a new release from psy-harmonics, NZ soul/jazz, local hip hop with real stories about urban Australia and Shawn Lee's world travels.
