Fisher's Ghost by John Lang

A ghost story from the mid 19th century set in Australia.

John Lang was born in 1816 in Sydney. He studied at Sydney College before going to Trinity College, Cambridge. He was 'sent down' from there for publishing a 'quaint litany' which was considered blasphemous, after which he studied law at Middle Temple. He returned to New South Wales in 1841 and was admitted as a barrister to the Supreme Court. He wrote nine novels in all, some of which he serialised in the newspaper he published after his move to India.
