Next week is going to be tough for Russia's incoming president, Dmitry Medvedev.
Russia has increased its peacekeeping troops in the areas bordering Georgia's breakaway regions, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, after the two regions called on international bodies to recognize their independence.
Georgia has now accused Russia of preparing to invade Abkhazia.
