Everyday Health - Myopia

Myopia, or short sightedness, is on the increase - in some cities in Asia it has reached 50% of 12-year-olds, and in Australia also the rates are climbing. Myopia is caused by a combination of genetics and environment - and the more time children spend indoors looking at computer and television screens, the more likely they are to develop it.
