It's almost a year since Kevin Rudd and Labor came to power and the last 12 months have been challenging.
Initially they were fighting inflation, now, of course, the federal government wants to stimulate the economy and prevent a recession.
Labor is doing well in opinion polls, but who knows how they will fare in 2009 as they make decisions that will have an impact on the country's immediate future?
