Reform in Egypt

In Egypt there has been a crescendo of dissent in recent weeks with groups as disparate as the judiciary, the Muslim Brotherhood and the opposition parties -- upping the pressure on Hosni Mubarak for more democratic reform.
The President is also playing the international statesman. Egypt is currently lobbying for a place on an expanded UN Security Council: it's the Arab world's main candidate. And this week Egypt has hosted talks to discuss Israel's pullout from Gaza.
