Tim Ritchie
In 1976, while running early for his school bus, Tim Ritchie rang the breakfast DJ on Double Jay to complain about his performance. The DJ challenged him, "If you can do a better job, come in tomorrow morning and do it yourself".
That was it, working mid dawns through his university degree, Tim started to carve a niche in the Sydney radio psyche. Highlights including a posting as the first and only Triple J music correspondent to New York gave Tim a perspective on music and radio that allowed him to migrate from Triple J to Radio National.
After over 25 years with the ABC, Tim stills thinks finding new music is the best job in the world, as the presenter of Sound Quality on Radio National.
