Who are the Flag Sisters?
La Sorielle Bandera were three men in frocks who entertained Italy through the best and worst of times.
Australian Neil Hansen was one of the famous trio and some thirty years on the story of the Flag Sisters will be brought to Australian screens in a television documentary.
Neil, a young Aussie, together with a Mexican and an Italian, took Italy by storm on television and on stage in the 1970s. Always in drag, they rocked the most Catholic nation in the world while the country also took them to their hearts.
