A roof over your head in 2008

Housing - getting it, staying in it and paying for it - is high on the agenda for increasing numbers of Australians.
Today, we check out what the Federal Budget may have in store for renters and home buyers.
One of the big ticket items for the Rudd Government is the National Rental Affordability Scheme which would give investors concessions in return for providing new housing units for under the market value rent.
Observers are expecting the money to get this underway to be allocated on Tuesday night.
Another issue is the future of the First Home Buyers Grant. Could it become subject to means testing?
