Vita Activa: the future of volunteering

The chief executive of Volunteering England, Justin Davis Smith, says we might be entering 'the age of the volunteer' and that volunteering is 'the spirit of the age'.
After all that we've been hearing in this series, can this optimism be applied to Australia?
