Carriers Arms Hotel: Bourke. The Carriers Arms was the Cobb & Co. stop in Bourke. In his poems, Lawson referred to the hotel as the Shearer's Arms -- 'The yard behind the Shearer’s Arms was reckoned best of battlegrounds'.
