Educating gifted children
When a child is called 'gifted' it can provoke a range of reactions; envy, scepticism, even sympathy, because it's not always an easy road to be brighter than the rest.
Even the term 'gifted' rouses mixed feelings.
A leading advocate for very bright children, Stephanie Tolan, was in Australia recently to run some workshops.
She's co-author of one of the most highly regarded resource books on the subject and a successful children's writer.
