Making the past live: Elizabeth Fensham
|
The history classroom isn't the only place where students learn about the past.
Writer and English teacher Elizabeth Fensham has some innovative ways of bringing the past alive.
In her new book, Miss McAllister's Ghost, three children learn about the past through a 97-year-old neighbour called Grizelda McAllister.
Elizabeth Fensham also brings history to life by getting her students to interview older people. It can be the first time they've ever talked to a person older than 60!
