One Long Yawn? History in the classroom
While adults argue loud and long about Australia's past, their children choose not to study history. Many teenagers don't know who our first prime minister was.
Students dismiss the subject for being boring, while politicians and concerned parents fret over their lack of historical knowledge, says Anna Clark.
