Trends Vertical gardens
|
Trends and Products is the part of the show where each week we discuss developments in a particular part of the designed world.
Today we're in the garden. But not just any garden because we're investigating the vertical garden.
As part of the Melbourne International Design Festival a vertical garden has been installed on a 40 square metre section of wall in Melbourne's Central Shot Tower Square.
It's creator, Frenchman Patrick Blanc is the pioneer of the vertical garden concept and has created vertical fields of greenery around the world, including one for architect Jean Nouvel's Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, where he created a wall with 15,000 plants.
