The Federal Opposition has wasted no time implementing its plan to block key elements of the Budget in the Senate. The list includes the alcopops tax, the changes to the Medicare levy surcharge and the new excise on condensate. The Coalition is still considering whether to block the luxury car tax. Leader Brendan Nelson says the taxes will drive up inflation.
