Baby boomers and nursing homes
A generational shift in aged care services is taking place in Australia. According to a Galaxy/Benevolent Society poll launched this morning, baby boomers have no intention of moving in to a nursing home when they get old and frail. Seventy-five per cent of people aged over 50 polled across New South Wales said that they would only move in to a nursing home if they had no other choice.
