Today's Newspoll will keep plenty of analysts in work with news that support for the government has fallen to its lowest point since the last election, but that with 55% of the two party preferred vote, Labor is still more popular than when it went to the polls. What does this actually mean for the government's future as it tries to create a carbon trading scheme? Michelle Grattan gives us her analysis.
