25th anniversary of fight to save the Franklin River

Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the High Court decision that ultimately saved the Franklin River. Many of you would remember the blockade, the protests and also the divisions within Tasmania between the pro and anti dam campaigners.

There are a couple of books out this month on the battle to save this part of the Tasmanian wilderness. One is by Geoff Law, called The River Runs Free: Exploring and Defending Tasmania's Wilderness
