China's earthquake search and rescue operation
A massive search and rescue operation continues in China following Monday's earthquake in the Sichuan province. Twelve thousand people are known to have died, but that number is expected to rise dramatically, as thousands remain buried under rubble. Rescue teams have finally reached the epicentre of the quake in the Wenchuan county, but heavy rain and risk of landslides are delaying relief efforts there, as after-shocks continue to rock the region.
