IVF Issues
|
An Australian couple is awaiting approval from Victoria's Infertility Authority to have a baby using IVF treatment in a bid to save the life of their current child, who has a rare blood disease, called franconi -aneamia. It is one of three cases awaiting approval, which require embryos to be screened before implantation. If given the green light, it will be the first time it's happened in Australia. We speak to Professor Alan Trounson, from the Monash Institute of Reproduction and Development.
