Yeti hairs found

The abominable snowman, also known as the Yeti, has been the stuff of legend ever since giant footprints were discovered in the Himalayas almost 90 years ago. Now, further clues are on offer, after scientists in Britain analysed hairs found in the north-east of India five years ago and discovered that they didn't belong to any known species—leading to suggestions that they could belong to the elusive Yeti.
Paralympian's victory both inspirational and controversial

Twenty-one-year-old South African Sprinter Oscar Pistorius is the world's fastest double-leg amputee over 400 metres, but wants to prove his worth beyond the narrow confines of paralympic sport. He earned the right to compete at the Beijing Olympics after an international appeals court ruled that his carbon fibre running blades don't give him an unfair advantage over able-bodied runners. But his court victory has caused controversy in the sports science community.

US scientists have now used MRI scans to see just what goes on in a musician's brain when they improvise. Which bits of grey matter are being used? Also, a rare event -- an earthquake in Britain; bats using bar magnets and bacteria to navigate, and Indonesia coming on board to help fight the bird flu threat.
