The Book Show

Indian film-maker and writer Ruchir Joshi was born in Calcutta and now lives in Delhi. The Book Show speaks to him at his home about his debut novel The Last Jet-Engine Laugh (set in a future India at war with a 'Pak-Saudi' alliance) and its yet-to-be-published follow-up.

Recorded at his house in India, Joshi also speaks in this special feature program about the connection between film-making, photography and writing novels, and about where he sees the 'Indian novel' travelling.
