The Turn of the Screw
by Henry James
Read by Helen Morse
A young and inexperienced woman is sent to a country manor as governess to two preternaturally intelligent and charming orphans. But underneath the surface of what would seem like a perfect situation lurks a dark secret and terrors never fully explained.

'It is a most wonderful, lurid, poisonous little tale,' wrote Oscar Wilde of The Turn of the Screw. First published in 1898, it has remained one of Henry James' most popular stories, full of intrigue and suspense.

Helen Morse's definitive performance in the title role of the feature film Caddie was but one highlight of a career that has made her one of Australia's best know actresses. She brings to the reading a blend of intelligence and emotion that makes the most of James' scintillating prose.

Producer/director Justine Lees
