Dec 15 - Jan 16 Reaching Tin River
25 episodes by Thea Astley read by Glenda Linscott.
Belle has a mother who played drums in a two-woman band, a father whom she's never met (but goes to look for), an ex-husband and a career. But it's her search for Gaden Lockyer, a bank employee, farmer and politician, that becomes her obsession, even though he lived at the turn of the century. Belle doesn't care. She needs a centre.
Reaching Tin River was shortlisted for many major literary prizes and received the NSW Premier's Award. Written with sharp observation and wit, the story involves us completely with Belle's quest.
