Chris O'Brien: living with cancer
|
On Thursday, we'll talk to one of Australia's leading head and neck surgeons who -- after saving thousands of people from the ravages of cancer -- is now waging his own war against the disease.
Professor Chris O'Brien has written the book Never Say Die about his battle to survive an aggressive brain tumour that made him face his own mortality and changed his life forever.
The surgeon -- watched by millions of Australians on the long-running medical television show RPA -- has criticised cancer treatment facilities in Australia as being 'anything but seamless, patient-focused, and user-friendly'.
Are you a cancer survivor or does someone close to you have cancer? Did you find the medical system disjointed and difficult to navigate?
We'll discuss how that system may be improved, and the latest cancer research.
