Child support changes
|
Thousands of Australians are scratching their heads and reworking the family budget after the Child Support Scheme underwent its biggest shake-up in 20 years. For most parents, the amount of money they pay or receive in child support has changed. The then Howard government said the reforms would make the Child Support Scheme fairer and focus on the needs and costs of children.
On Thursday's program we'll look at whether or not the changes live up to those promises. Are you one of Australia's one-and-a-half million parents who pays or receives child support? Do you think the changes are fair, and are children better off?
