Platform Youth Theatre
|
It seems like every day now, there's more and more bad news coming out about the environment: Arctic ice is melting more quickly than we thought it would, temperatures are rising faster than expected, oil's running out, water's in short supply—everywhere nature seems to be buckling under the stress of human expansion.
So what are young people thinking about this?
If Platform Youth Theatre is anything to go by, they're asking 'How do you survive when there isn't enough anymore?'. And Enough is the name of a play they're doing, based around the four horsemen of the apocalypse which focuses on the third horse—the black one—whose rider represents famine. It's written by Wes Snelling and Wally Gunn and starts on Thursday, at 45 Downstairs in Melbourne. We also heard from the company manager Rose Goode and cast member Camille Lopez.
