A ballet dancer who has her pointe shoes made in London by a bloke called Ron...an oboe player who stays up into the early hours of the morning making his reeds...a potter who just loves the feel of clay.

These are some of the people we'll meet in this series. Amanda Smith speaks with a range of visual and performing artists about an object or material that each of them considers to be essential to their art.

For Tools of the Trade today we meet photographer Lisa Tomasetti. Camera technology has changed enormously in recent years, but for her exhibition work, Lisa still uses the two cameras she started with at art school – an old workhorse, and a plastic toy camera!

They're like old friends, she says, but with two very different personalities.
