The Temple of Einstein
|
"Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe - a spirit vastly superior to that of man..." Albert Einstein called this spirit Lambda, which referred to the "cosmological constant" of the universe. Years after he renounced it, however, it lives on in the minds of scientists who search for coherence and constancy in the universe. Science writer Corey Powell calls this "sci/religion" and he thinks it's the religion of the future.
