Meet Electroboy. Los Angeles based writer Andy Behrman has just published a memoir of mania, and hang on tight - it's a wild ride. After 15 years of sex, drugs, big spending and medicalised mayhem - he was to eventually discover that he was living on the knife edge of manic depression. It was almost too late. Today he goes by the name given to him by the nurse who delivered his first round of electro-shock therapy - "Electroboy".
