Aceh's Psychological Recovery

The Boxing Day Tsunami hit Aceh, at the northern tip of the island of Sumatra, with a vengeance. Over 127,000 people are dead or missing, and many more are now internally displaced, recovering in camps. Before the horror wave, Aceh had almost no mental health system, just five psychiatrists for a population of four million and one psychiatric hospital in the capital, Banda Aceh. So where to now? Is the rebuilding of Aceh an opportunity to rebuild the country's psychological support system, from scratch?
