Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman: Toward a Science of Wellbeing

17/08/2003
What makes you happy? How do you measure your level of well-being? Does it come down to whether you've got a good job, a good income, a happy relationship? Psychologist Daniel Kahneman, winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize for Economics, argues that we're yet to come up with a really good scientific measure of well-being. He's forging a new field called hedonic psychology, the study of what makes life and experiences pleasant or unpleasant. And there's much more to the question of what makes us feel good than at first glance. All In the Mind broadcasts a public lecture by Kahneman.
