As Australia celebrated 100 years of a federal system of government in 2001, other countries of the Asia-Pacific region were exploring what were, for them, new power-sharing arrangements.

Sharing Power - The Ties That Bind is a joint project between Radio Australia, ABC New Media and the Australian National University's National Institute for Asia and the Pacific.

Through a radio series, an online game, a chance to create your own anthem and academic papers, we explore whether some of the experiments in power-sharing are strengthening the fabric of nationhood or threatening to tear it apart.
