A low in the Northern Territory has delivered falls of over 400 mm in the past week and broken a regional drought.
Camooweal recorded 117 mm of rain yesterday morning (Wednesday, January 7) adding more water to the already swollen Georgina River.

A monsoonal low is still delivering falls in the region but it's hoped the water will break drought conditions for areas that haven't seen a drop of rain.
Crocodiles are swimming in the floodwaters about 20 metres from the Clarke's homestead near Burketown.

A number of rivers in North-West Queensland and in the Northern Territory are continuing to rise as more rain fell across the region over-night.
Truck drivers say they're unsure how freight will be carried between Queensland and the Northern Territory after part of the Barkly Highway was washed away by floods.

North-western Queensland towns and properties are preparing to evacuate, as floodwaters in the area keep rising (Video from ABC TV news, January 6).
Police are urging motorists to avoid travel to the state's north-west with access to the Northern Territory completely cut off.
