Sir Hans Heysen: a retrospective

Sir Hans Heysen was one of the giants of Australian art in the 20th century. By the time he died in 1968, at the age of 92, he had left an enormous body of work but by then his style had become unfashionable. Now with the first national retrospective in 30 years, Heysen is gaining new appreciation from some of Australia's contemporary artists who have literally followed in his footsteps.
