QBE strikes $1b deal with PMI

QBE has reopened its wallet and struck a billion-dollar deal which could see it secure a 40 per cent stake in the domestic mortgage insurance sector. The company has agreed to buy the Australian and New Zealand arms of troubled United States company, PMI.
