Stranger offered children cash to get into car: police

Posted October 12, 2008 16:19:00

Sydney police say a man offered three children cash to get into his car at a park in the city's west.

The incident allegedly happened last night at Lethbridge Park.

Officers say two boys aged seven and nine and a 12-year-old girl were playing ball in the park when a man in a nearby laneway approached them.

He offered them money in exchange for them getting into his car but they ran from the scene and reported the incident to police.
