Posted October 12, 2008 16:19:00

Two children have died in a fire in Western Australia's north.

Police and volunteer fire fighters attended the blaze at a caravan in a small community, just south of Tom Price about 7:00am (local time) today.

Police say a two-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy died in the blaze.

Authorities say an adult was treated for burns and smoke inhalation.

The Police Arson Squad is travelling to the scene.
