Police ask for public's help in robbery investigation

Posted October 12, 2008 09:33:00

Burnie police have appealed for help finding items of clothing they believe might be connected to a robbery in the city late last week.

Police allege a man was robbed while at the Top of the Town Hotel on Thursday night.

28-year-old Michael Sydney Legg was arrested the following day and has been charged with armed robbery.

He will appear again in the Burnie Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Police want help finding a black cap and hooded jumper which they say might have been discarded in the Blackwood Parade area on the night of the alleged robbery.

If found, the items should not be touched.
