Darwin back-up generators to be installed

Posted October 11, 2008 10:33:00

Generators to supply back-up power to Darwin will be installed this weekend.

The Power and Water Corporation will be working at 20 sites in the northern suburbs.

The change from mains to generation power will take place next week.

Up to 1,000 households in Brinkin and Leanyer will experience planned power outages next week so that maintenance work can be done.

Power and Water Corporation will do a letter box drop to advise the affected households of the blackouts.
