MDC appeals for help to break Zimbabwe deadlock

Zimbabwe's Movement for Democratic Change has appealed for help in breaking the political deadlock that has stalled the formation of a unity government.
It is blaming Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF party for the problems.
The Movement for Democratic Change, led by Morgan Tsvangirai, should have been sharing power with Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF party by now.
But three weeks after signing an agreement, the two parties can not overcome their political differences.
The biggest sticking point is which party will control the key ministries of finance, home affairs and defence.
The MDC accuses Mr Mugabe of refusing to give up any of his power.
It wants regional mediators to intervene to help break the deadlock.
However, Mr Mugabe's party has said that no foreign mediation is required.
