Man with head injuries found lying on Melbourne road

Posted September 6, 2008 20:41:00

Victoria Police are investigating why a man was left lying on a road unconscious in Melbourne's west.

The 45-year-old man from Brooklyn was found lying on Millers Road near the intersection of Walker Close in Altona North at about 5:45pm (AEST) on Saturday.

Police believe he was a passenger in a 2001 white Holden Commodore sedan that was travelling north along Millers Road just before the man was found.

The man was taken to Alfred Hospital with life threatening head injuries and is now in an induced coma.
