Police raids turn-up drugs, weapons

Three people are facing drugs and weapons offences after two separate raids by Queensland police.

Acting on a tip-off from CrimeStoppers, police raided a house at Molendinar on the Gold Coast this morning and found more than three kilograms of cannabis in a bedroom.

A 45-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman have been charged with possession of a dangerous drug and drug utensils.

They are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court later this month.

And in central Queensland, a 52-year-old man is due to appear in the Yeppoon Magistrates Court next month after police found more than five kilograms of cannabis, two guns and a crossbow at a home last night.

He has been charged with producing and possessing a dangerous drug and weapons offences.
