Tied Test umpire Egar dies

Former Australian cricket board chairman and international umpire Colin Egar has died at the age of 80.
Egar umpired 29 Tests during the 1960s including the throwing controversy involving Australian bowler Ian Meckiff in 1963.
He made his international debut in the famous Tied Test between Australia and the West Indies in Brisbane in 1960-61.
After his retirement from international umpiring, he served for 28 years with the South Australian Cricket Association and the Australian Cricket Board - which he chaired for three years.
A private funeral was held in Adelaide on Friday.
