The Opposition Leader Colin Barnett has made his final pitch for voter support ahead of tomorrow's state election by highlighting the Liberal party's policy differences to Labor.

Mr Barnett spent just one day as the Opposition Leader before the election was called.

At State Parliament this morning he said the Liberal Party is worth voting for because it would keep Royal Perth Hospital open, introduce mandatory jail terms for people who assault police and public officers, and repeal the Labor Party's prostitution legislation.

He has also highlighted the Liberal's promise to improve the public education system.

However, Mr Barnett insists the Liberal Party is still the underdog and it will be difficult to win.

"Look I'm not running around trying to claim status one way or the other," he said.

"The harsh reality is that the Liberal Party has to win eight seats in a 59 seat Parliament that is a tough, tough ask, of course it is. "
